Data Science and Cybersecurity Team has designed and implemented several innovative solutions for cybersecurity. In particular, the team focused on anomaly detection methods in the application layer, e.g. to improve SQLIA or XSS attacks detection. Moreover, the team developed machine learning algorithms, bio-inspired methods, genetic algorithms and signal processing methods. The applied methods can be implemented for critical infrastructures security, military networks resilience, web applications security and privacy assurance. Some of the relevant projects with the involvement of Data Science and Cybersecurity Team include: SECOR (national), SOPAS (national, homeland security), FP7 INTERSECTION, and FP7 INSPIRE.
